Monique McFadden is a mother, artist, and teacher in Yakima, Washington. She is a native of the Seattle and Portland areas, but has lived in Yakima since 1997. Monique has always been interested in the arts, and started doing watercolor after taking a class in 1999. She is inspired by the unpredictable nature of watercolor and feels that painting with watercolor is an excellent exercise in patience! Monique has participated in a few different exhibits in the Yakima Valley over the last couple of years, showing her work at a local winery, bakery, and art gallery. Currently Monique works as an English as a Second Language teacher at the community college and also as an art instructor for Allied Arts of Yakima. Monique is married with two daughters and is happy to call Yakima home. She would like to thank her friends and family for their continuing support in her watercolor endeavors.
